What We Believe

We Believe . . .

We Believe that the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the only true God.

  • “Go make disciples of nations, baptizing then in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19.

We Believe
God is eternal, almighty, holy, just, and merciful. God created the heavens, the earth and all living things. Adam and Eve were created perfect, without sin, but then disobeyed God. Because of sin, all men are born sinners and are under God’s judgment.

  • “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
  • “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” 1 John 1:8

We Believe
that b
ecause God is holy and just, He must punish sin. But God is also merciful and loving. The Lord made a promise of a Savior to Adam and Eve.

  • God said to the devil, “He (Savior) will crush your head.” Genesis 3:15

We Believe Jesus Christ is God’s only son; True God and True Man. He came to earth to be the Savior of the world. Christ died on the cross to pay for sins and was raised to life on the third day.

  • “The Father sent the son to be the Savior of the world.” 1 John 4:14

We Believe
that
we receive Christ’s forgiveness and are made holy through faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is a free gift of God.

  • “For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
  • “Faith comes by hearing the message of the gospel.” Romans 10:17

We Believe
that
the Bible is God’s inspired Word. It teaches everything we need for salvation and daily life.

  • “All scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

We Believe
that
the Holy Spirit brings about faith, forgiveness, and helps me to live a holy life for God.

  • “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
