Timeline of Events

December 2, 1979     First service in a mobile unit on church site; Pastor Fred Rockett

January 20, 1980     Mobile unit dedicated as a church building (site of current Youth Center); Pastor Lorenz Speckman

March 9, 1980     Congregation formally organized as a mission church with 56 full-time and 39 associate members

March 13, 1983     Pastor Robert Stockman installed as full time mission pastor

March 29, 1987     Ground breaking for current sanctuary

January 10, 1988     Church sanctuary dedicated; 175 full time and 145 associate members

January 1, 1991     Pastor Bob Stockman accepted call to become full time pastor; 220 full time and 178 associate members

May 1996     Purchased 3.8 acres south of sanctuary

1996     Voters approved long term plans for an additional building.  For the short term, the patio on the north side of the church was closed in.  This was completed in 2000.

April 1, 1997     Children’s day care center opened

October 4, 1998     Pastor Roger Hedstrom was installed; 226 full time and 218 associate members

March 28, 1999     Break ground on Family Life Center

August 1, 2001     Vicar Kelly Mitteis called

August 25, 2002     Pastor hedstrom retires due to ALS; Pastor Kelly Mitteis installed

June 19, 2005     Pastor Mark Friedrich installed

July 29, 2012  Dave Minster called as full time DCE

2014     379 full time and 214 associate members with 1000 attending services each weekend in winter months

January 20, 2019     Pastor Tim Anderson installed as Associate Pastor

December 2019    Office addition completed on church sanctuary building 

January 2021  Agreement reached with Farmhouse Daycare to offer child care for preschool children in the classrooms of the Family Life Center.

August 2021    Tigran Buniatyn begins service as director of music while working on his doctorate at Arizona State University.

Summer 2022  Extensive renovation and remodeling begins on the Sanctuary Building with completion set for September 17, 2022.
